Mr. Dimitry Shlapentokh holds a Ph. D. degree in history from the University of Chicago, M.A. degree from Michigan State University and M.A. from the University of Moscow. He is presently working as an Associate Professor at the Department of History of Indiana University at South Bend. He is a former fellow and visiting scholar of Hudson Institute, Hoover Institution, Harvard University and Columbia University. He is the author of several books including “East against West” (2005), “Russia between East and West” (2006) and “The Proto-Totalitarian State” (2006).
